Momentum Bench is a hand-sculptued bench designed in 2015. Being one of Soo Joo’s earliest pieces of furniture, it is designed to break from the mold of rectangular benches, and flat industrial seats. Made with traditional joinery and stack-lamination, its design aims to be in harmony with nature, bringing biophilic benefits into the home. Soo Joo uses sweeping curves to capture the essence of east-asian aesthetics. Each leg is a unique shape, and each facet of the bench’s legs and underseat flow into eachother. The bench’s inviting and timeless form elevates any interior.
